Crypto isn’t going anywhere. So why are you only asking when Bitcoin’s booming?
For the curious, the sceptical, and the ones paying attention
Hi dear one.
It always happens like clockwork.
Bitcoin hits the news. The price jumps. And suddenly my inbox lights up.
“Should I buy now?”
“Is it too late?”
“What even is crypto?”
“How do I start?”
It’s like people wake up the moment the price climbs and everyone wants a piece of the action. But here’s the thing. When the price drops? Total silence. No DMs. No questions. Not even a flicker of curiosity.
And that is exactly where most people miss the point.
Crypto does not wait for you to be ready
Let’s get something straight. This is not just hype anymore.
Right now, there is close to 4 trillion US dollars sitting in various crypto wallets around the world. That is not pretend money. The United Kingdom has a nominal GDP of about US $3.38 trillion. That means the roughly US $4 trillion sitting in crypto wallets globally is larger than the UK’s entire economy (by nominal GDP), giving you a sense of scale.
Even if you are not a fan of crypto, you cannot ignore numbers like that.
This is not early days anymore, but we are also not late. We are somewhere in the messy middle. The awkward teenage years.
Also worth knowing, since Bitcoin launched in 2009, it has gone up on average about 150 percent per year. That is not a typo. That’s the average annual return over the long run each year.
The point is not whether crypto will shape the future. It already is.
The point is whether you want to be part of that shift or keep reacting every time the headlines scream.
The pattern: chase the green, ignore the red
Why do we do this?
Because when Bitcoin is up, it feels exciting. It feels like something is happening.
But when it is down? We assume it is over. We forget that this is how markets work. They breathe in and out.
Crypto moves in waves. It surges. It falls. It rests. And repeats.
Ironically, the best time to explore this space is when it is boring. When no one is talking about it. When the hype is gone and the builders are still building.
That is when the opportunity is real. And that is when you should be asking your questions.
Not when everyone else is already asking theirs.
The system is fighting to keep control
You used to hear people say that crypto was wild and free and no one could stop it. That was true for a while.
But things are shifting. Governments and banks are not sitting back. They are stepping in with regulations, restrictions, and more control than ever before.
Some of it is necessary. A lot of it is about keeping the old systems in power.
And yet the builders keep going. They keep creating new tools, new platforms, and new ways to exchange value that do not need approval from the top.
They are not asking for permission. They are building around the roadblocks.
The truth? Innovation moves faster than control.
And that tension is where some of the most exciting changes are happening right now.
I get it. Crypto can feel like a confusing jungle. It was not built with beginners in mind.
Most of it was designed by engineers, not storytellers.
That is why I am creating a simple e course for total beginners.
It will walk you through exactly how to set up your first wallet, how to make your first small investment, and how to actually understand what is going on.
Simple steps. Real language. Stuff that actually makes sense.
If you have been watching from the side lines, waiting for someone to break it down in normal language... it is coming. And it is made with you in mind.
Final thoughts
Crypto is not a trend. It is a shift.
It is already changing how we think about money, ownership, freedom, and connection.
Whether you like it or not, it is part of the story now.
So please do not just show up when Bitcoin is making headlines and everyone’s cheering.
Show up when it is quiet.
When the noise has died down.
When there is space to actually learn and invest.
Because by the time the headlines start shouting again...
you might have already missed the real moment.
Until next time, stay curious and grateful.
Light and joy,
Kim
