Do you Know where you're Headed and what you Truly Want?
Let’s dig into the importance of knowing where you're going and what you truly want.
Life's quite the ride, isn't it? There have been moments when I've felt like I'm on a rollercoaster with no map, just hanging on and screaming my lungs out! But it's all part of the adventure to be here, and I've come to realize that knowing where I'm headed and what I really want, can make this journey a whole lot more exciting.
Let’s dig into the importance of knowing where you're going and what you truly want.
First let me share a very vivid dream I had about 15 years ago. At that time, I was deeply immersed in meditation and studying under my teacher, Nalanie Harilela Chellaram, who had been a student of Sri Swami Satchidananda. Although I never had the chance to meet Sri Swami Satchidananda in person, as he had passed away a few years before I met my teacher, I was actively studying "The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali" (the science of the mind) translated by Satchidananda.
One night, something beautiful happened. Satchidananda appeared to me in a dream. He embraced me from behind, and I can still vividly remember the sensation of his beard against my cheek as he whispered in my ear: "Strength and Clarity". The dream was so clear and profound that it has remained etched in my memory, and I will forever hold onto those powerful words: Strength and Clarity.
These words have since become my guiding principles. When I have both strength and clarity within me, I’m in a good place. It is clarity that I sometimes struggle with. However, the memory of that dream serves as a constant reminder of the importance of it in my life.
Clarity is like a beacon of light in the fog of uncertainty, illuminating the path to our goals and dreams. With it, we can navigate life's twists and turns with confidence and purpose, knowing exactly where we're headed. Sometimes mine is a little wishy washy. Luckily not for long.
When you know where you're headed, making choices becomes as easy as choosing between strawberry and vanilla ice cream (both are pretty yummy by the way). Your destination guides you, making the tough decisions a bit less rocky.
Now let’s open the door to what you truly want. Think of it as a thrilling quest to find hidden treasures, your true passions and wants. It involves some digging into your thoughts and feelings, a few wrong turns (we all take them!), and ultimately, discovering what makes your heart race.
Your desires should be like your favourite song, that resonate with your heart. Make sure they align with your core values and beliefs. When your goals sync up with what you hold dear, you're on the right track.
So will there be challenges?
Of course, life wouldn't be such a grand adventure without a few unexpected plot twists. The question is how to handle them.
The Fear of Commitment: Committing to a destination can be scary. It's like choosing a theme park ride when you're not entirely sure if you'll love it. But remember, it's okay to change your mind along the way, life is about exploration after all!
External Noise and Peer Pressure: Just like those folks in the crowd shouting advice on which ride to take, external influences can confuse you. Tune out the noise and listen to your own excitement meter.
The Thrill of Failing: Failure is like a surprise loop on a rollercoaster – scary but thrilling. Even though sometimes it feels like sh… Embrace it! Failing means you're taking risks, learning, and growing. Plus, it makes the victory lap even sweeter.
In this wild theme park called life, having a clear direction and knowing what you truly want is like having a treasure map and a golden compass. Embrace your goals, enjoy the ups and downs, and remember that it's the thrill of the unknown that makes life's rollercoaster so darn fun.
Until next week. Stay curious and grateful
Strength and Clarity your way.
Kim

Your words always help more than you know. Blessings to you and your family.
Strength an clarity. That´s noted, Kim. Those two things I also took with me after a roller coaster ride through darkness and through storm.
Just this one thing: MAY I ADD SPIRIT?
Because it´s the Spirit that needs to be strong for clarity to manifest within.
Especially if your life goal is TO WRITE.
And mine is.
To help others on the journey that´s theirs.
And to give expression to that which is within.
I am well underway with my writing now, I don´t care so very much about style, bla bla, ONLY to express. Next step is to look it over again and make the words dance for real.
I´m very fine with not having a deadening job anymore, it truly is a straitjacket for Spirit.
I feel flow these days. It´s really beautiful.
I SEND YOU AND YOURS THE BEST FROM MY HEART.
