In life, our emotions blend and intertwine with the essence of our souls. Each feeling, a unique shade, contributes to our human experience. Yet, in the hustle and bustle of life, we often steer clear of, suppress, or numb these feelings and emotions, fearing their potential intensity. What if, instead, we set out on a quest to genuinely and truly feel our feelings?
Recognizing our range of emotions is like tuning into the inner balance of our own selves. See your heart as the compass, a lovely mixture of joy, sorrow, love, anger, and every nuance in between. Truly feeling is engaging in this experience, allowing your deep feelings to echo through the depths of your being.
I've discovered that feeling my feelings is an act of spiritual courage. It's a surrender to the ebb and flow of existence, an acknowledgment that every emotion carries a sacred message. When happy and content is in my spirit, I savour it, letting them linger like a beautiful sunny day. In moments of sadness or frustration, I understand that pain is a tender teacher, I find comfort in the knowledge that it guides me toward growth and consciousness. Not a lot of fun at times, but necessary.
I think of my feelings like little messengers, each bringing a different shade from something greater. When I'm open hearted, I sometimes get deep insights about myself. During quiet moments of meditation, I've gotten the hang of being still and paying attention, letting my emotions spill some wisdom. And when I'm okay with being vulnerable, that's when I find the strength to navigate through the maze of my feelings. It can be super hard. So much easier to carry on doing, doing and keeping myself distracted with screens and stuff to do.
