Thanks for this Kim, very well put. I read it in the middle of the night and it rings true.

I have always been driven by other 'why's' , and have never understood those who are driven exclusively by a relatively empty imperative.

I'm reminded of this a lot now, where I am. Many many salt of the earth, but those who have 'made it' monetarily just don't seem like they can enjoy a moment. It's sad sometimes.

I admire excellence and if that brings you $$ success, all the better. But, I think excellence in a pursuit that fills your cup is our best guide.

Thanks Kim. Please say hey to Ole. Neil.

Thanks for sharing and yes whatever fills our cup with passion, is our best why. :)

Everything in life seems to stem from what we were taught as children! Until we start asking the WHY of what we were taught, we remain enclosed in that confining box! Here's to unmasking the WHYS!!

I like the balance of listening to Ole and then listening to you. I see why you two are a good balance for each other. Both of you are very creative and purposeful, yet in different ways. I find that using my creativity is my most important 'why'. Being a builder/ remodeler for my living and then restoring classic automobiles to driving condition plus repurposing of my materials ( woods, metals, parts etc) allows me to use that creativity every day. I have never been driven by acquiring money for the just the sake of it. I like to use it as a tool in my arsenal to drive me to my next creative project. I have experienced 'getting stuck' just like everyone else who is driven by their creativity. However, when that 'light at the end of the tunnel' appears, I can't wait to jump in the next project. The universe does deliver. We just have to see how the 'package' is delivered!

Exactly so. Thanks Joe.

Yes it is easy to forget or not see or ignore the why. However acquisition of money is not a why, the love of money is the root of all evil

It’s so weird because I’m also an artist and was just thinking how I’m feeling low, after some of the current issues, and it caused a difficulty in mustering up desire to do my creativity. I was just wondering what i could do to inspire the flow into accomplishing it. I had just done a few different pieces, but still wanted to come out of the gray zone I found myself temporarily in, and I think I got a notification of this...and WOW!! Just in time! 🙏
